For the primary source of protein in our dog food, we use protein meals instead of fresh meat or by-products because protein meals are a concentrated, reliable, and superior source of high-quality dietary protein.
Other brands use fresh meat which may sound appealing, it is mostly water. Once cooked, much of that water is removed, leaving only a small portion of protein behind.
