The Beginning

Military Dogs

The use of dogs by the U.S. military dates back to the Civil War, but it wasn’t until the early 2000s that canines became integral to various military operations.

These highly trained dogs can perform remarkable feats such as jumping from a helicopter and swimming 800 meters to shore, navigating 10 kilometers of rough terrain to complete a mission, and even detecting the difference between human and explosive odors in the chaos and noise of the battlefield.

Our Founder

Mike Ritland

Team Dog was founded by Mike Ritland, a former Navy SEAL and Special Operations K9 Trainer, who spent 12 years working with the world's most elite dogs and has trained thousands of personal protection, security, military, and police dogs.

Leveraging Mike's extensive expertise, Team Dog collaborated with a team of veterinarians and nutritionists to develop a comprehensive line of food and supplements tailored for all dog breeds, ages, and activity levels.
